Cone 6: Maycoshino is a varying iron glaze with subtle color changes. When applied thin, the user gets rich, iron-brown tones. Applied thicker, the user gets lighter, creamy tones reminiscent of traditional Japanese shino glazes. This glaze is beautiful on any surface, any color clay body.
Cone 10: The color becomes darker to gray/brown.
TIP: One coat gives a solid reddish-brown opaque layer; Two coats gives a creamy-brown finish that breaks brown over the surface texture; Three coats gives waves of creamy-brown color over the reddish-brown base.
