Cone 6: Fool’s Gold is een glanzend, halftransparant glazuur dat bestaat uit een rijke bruine basis met kleine, gouden metallic vlekjes. De variatie van het glazuur hangt af van de applicatie. Hoe dikker de laag, hoe homogener de kleur. Het glazuur breekt doorschijnend en wordt donkerder rond oppervlaktetexturen.
Cone 10: De kleur wordt donkerder en er ontstaan metaalachtige vlekken.

Cone 6 oxidation: Fool’s Gold is a gloss, semi-transparent glaze consisting of a rich brown base with tiny, gold metallic flecks. The variation of glaze depends on the application. The thicker the application, the more homogenous the color will be. The glaze will break translucent and pool darker around surface textures.
Cone 10 reduction: Color darkens and produces metallic mottling.
